In India, all commercial banks (public, private, and co-operative sector banks) follow standard rules established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regarding weekend operations:

All bank branches remain strictly closed for public transaction banking services.
2nd & 4th Saturday
Banks are closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every calendar month.
1st, 3rd, 5th Saturday
Banks remain open for regular transaction working hours on the 1st, 3rd, and any 5th Saturdays.
